The most we knew of the R3 previously was that it was trademarked from what I recall.

Seriously doubt it will be that cheap. If the R2 is $45k and upwards the. The R3 would be likely $30-35k starting - especially in 2026/2028 dollars whenever it comes out.

Already thinking about the R3 when R1 demand is softening. Rather than stay a thrifty niche manufacturer, Rivian wants to double down. Go for it, Rivian--I don't think Rivian is going to get a reliable battery supply otherwise--but I think this will require a lot of money and R1 sales won't pay for it. It will probably come from multiple public offerings of stock down the line. I would stay away from the stock, personally, because of this dilution risk.

Hope its to catch up to Carplay/AA on features... or just give up and talk RJ into using Carplay because the development costs are building up and they're far from parity with Apps and navigation quality.

No, we MUST endlessly speculate on what it will be and post computer-generated images and pics of vehicles we see in a parking lot that *might* be an R3 prototype. Then start saying how the only way for Rivian to be profitable is to sell the R3 for under $10k to compete with Aptera, etc.
