Page 174 in the R1T manual has info about external flash drives. Also HAS to connect to one of the USB-C ports in the center console, I suspect the others are power only.Nice!!
Does anyone know what formatting and/or folder the usb drive needs to have? And can it plug into any usb port?
This is a perplexing statement around USB. This is probably the first official document I've read from a company that mentions "USB 3+" instead the other messy names. I'm not sure why being "compatible with USB 2" is mentioned, aren't the modern USB standards all backward compatible? The Drive cam feature requires external USB storage of at least 128 GB. We recommend devices that are rated for USB 3+ and are compatible with USB 2

I currently have the below plugged in my console and export Gear Guard clips to it often. I will likely bump up to 256GB once I see what kind of retention 128GB keeps.

I think they mean via the in car Gear Guard app, not the sub menu in the phones app.Am I reading this correctly that we can view (and potentially download) gear guard videos on our phones via the app?
Tapping the vents turns them on/off.I like the fan level zero as I don't know any other way to turn the fan off? Also why bury trip A and trip B in settings? Otherwise pretty cool update!!!
