Husband & wife take delivery of R1T and R1S same day at Rivian plant

A couple from California took delivery of their R1T and R1S on the same day at our plant. The next day, they began a 2,000-mile, cross-country road trip home in their new EVs. Congratulations, Remo and Myra — glad you made it home safely and had a great trip.

I guess the lesson here is if you live far from the factory, you can still pick up at the factory if it makes for a good press piece.

Maybe one or two members here will have to also order a R1S to go along with a R1T so they can get the R1T factory pick up option.

Did other folks get asked to sign waivers and have pictures of their delivery taken? I don't think I ever asked back in March.

I took mine on Base next to a big-ass icebreaker, figure they wanted some 'Murica stuff on their social media, but alas, 18 USC 795...

Hopefully they took different routes home to test out the charging network infrastructure. Now that would be cool. One takes the northly route, one takes the southern route.
