I'm at 1367 days and 81k miles. Going to add about 3000mi to that in a trip in a couple of weeks. I have pretty similar sentiments. Been thru the ringer and it doesn't skip a beat. I'm a little harder on the battery as I have been charging to 100% for probably 2 years at this point. Only service really has been the recalls along the way, changed the windshield, brake fluid flush per recommendation and then the normal tires. I only just changed my wiper blades last year. Did a comprehensive inspection just before 60k and the only thing they found was some failing chrome on the driver's door panel ( I knew it was there, cut me many times, but I didn't tell them, wanted to see if they caught it). So they replaced that panel. For a <5000 vin I feel pretty blessed.

My only complaint is I did an appraisal at 80k and was shocked when it came in less than 30k... When a 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser with 80k comes in higher than that, it just feels wrong....

I'm about to hit 60k and feel the same. My experiences at the Columbus, OH service center have been the best I have experienced with any vehicle service in any kind of shop in my entire life. I hope they are the same when the Pittsburgh center opens - hopefully in time for my wife's R2.

I had the same water in the doors. The good news is that it is supposed to get there. The problem is just in the one way drain plugs that it is supposed to flow out of. Easy fix with mobile service. He may or may not have just removed them from both doors, but I promised him I wouldn't tell.

Great post, I'm getting close to 50k miles and have been thinking about trading for a newer R1T. I also really enjoy driving mine too. The Houston service center has been awesome. It's good to hear other drivers who also enjoy their R1T's. Not too many around here in Southeast Texas.

It has taken me 1,390 days since delivery to hit 100,000 miles. That’s an average of 72 miles per day, every day that I’ve owned it. According to trip B, which I have never reset, I have spent 102 days of my life driving my truck. I’m considering producing a 100k review video to post, so I’ll try to keep this short-ish.

As for battery degradation (or lack there of), upon delivery, a 100% charge indicated a range of 293 miles (I think). There was a software update at one point that allowed for deeper discharge to get up to 314 miles. The current estimated range for a 100% charge in Conserve mode is 309 miles, so it is still delivering more range than I paid for. For my commute, I charge to 76% daily, drive just under 100 miles round trip and get home with about 38% charge, then do it again. This has clearly worked very well. Well done Rivian.

Reflecting on the last 100k miles of ownership last night was interesting. It’s just a number, but when I looked at the stats showing just how much time I have spent in this driver’s seat, I felt a wave of appreciation. When I put the deposit down on this thing 2.5 years before I took delivery, I didn’t know if they were actually going to make it, let alone if it would be any good. To the hundreds of people who have asked me how I like the truck, I have often said, “You’d never know it was the first car they ever made.” It’s not perfect, but it is damn good and there honestly isn’t another car or truck I’d rather be driving. My wife’s GX460 feel archaic by comparison.

I have not been easy on this truck. I forded a flooded road with water sloshing over the hood for 100 yards and no water came into through the doors or made it's way into the gear tunnel. The doors had some water sloshing in them for a bit, but it drained out pretty quickly. Sure, I’ve had a couple things go wrong with it, but nothing major. My OG tonneau cover still works fine. The spare tire well still looks & smells new and hasn’t had any water intrusion, despite washing out the bed many times after unloading muddy dirt bikes. My drivetrain has gotten a little more clicky in the past 10k miles, which I’m guessing is a little bit of lash in the front driveshafts. Still, there’s no difference in the way it drives. My rear shocks have been weeping a little oil very slowly for a long time. It’s no where near enough to fall to the ground. According to the service center, it’s normal. The damping is still stellar, even ripping over the woops with a little bit of airtime in the desert at King of the Hammers last year. At about 82k the AC compressor failed, but Rivian fixed it for free despite it being out of warranty. They actually flew some senior techs to San Jose to diagnose the problem because they hadn’t seen it before. They have also given me a free car, sometimes another Rivian, to drive while it was in service. Over all, my limited service experience has been first class.

I love this truck and I’m still very glad I bought it. I’ll probably hit 150k before my commute changes in 18-24 months. I’m not a Rivian fanboy, but I am a huge fan of Rivian. The haters are ignorant. This truck is freaking awesome.

Great long term evaluation! Thanks for sharing that. I agree, as a car guy who's always looking for my next vehicle, there isn't anything that piques my interest. Mu wife's Cayenne S feels like a slug and I don't think you could find anything as good for twice the price.

There are a couple 3rd party options and Rivian is beta testing one now. Just curious if any of yall purchased an extended warranty. I should have specified in my first post.

Thx for that review, Ash. Great to hear your R1T is holding up so well at 100K. I feel the same about our Launch R1T - love the truck. At 15k, we had to get the front suspension dampers upgraded, but other than a little iphone-key drama, it's been great. QUESTION(S): Did you ever have to replace the 12v battery? Did you have front suspension dampers replaced? Is yours also a Launch? A wise man once told me (my father) to never get the first version of anything, because there will always be tweaks and corrections by the 2nd iteration. I went against his advice on the Rivian, but so far so good.

I had a 12v warning at the same time as the AC compressor problem. Rivian replaced them for no charge when they fixed the AC. Unfortunately I had already ordered a lithium replacement which I've been meaning to sell. I mistakenly only bought one because I thought it was a two pack. At least it will work for the Gen 2 cars.

Sweet. I'm at 60k and got lot of suspension upgrades right before the warranty expires, so I should be good for another 60k at least.

Thank you for the post, confidence inspiring!
Hi RivnSoon, What suspension upgrades did you need. We have a Launch R1T and had our front dampers replaced with whatever they have on the Gen 2. That fixed the rattle, but I was curious what you had done. We're almost out of warranty,...
