Rivian thought of me on my birthday! 6 stalls, 1 NACS (3B). Sadly (or happily) I was not the first to charge here, but I'll have to settle for one of the first. Not surprising with so many Rivians in the area. The Eastern Sierras have never been easier to explore with a Rivian.

Edit: Interesting note: there are 6 dispenders but 3 chargers, as opposed to the usual 3 per charger.

What does 3 dispensers per charger mean???

Are you saying there one charging terminal with 3 charging nozzles? I'm used to only seeing 1:1 ratio so just curious.

Are you saying there one charging terminal with 3 charging nozzles? I'm used to only seeing 1:1 ratio so just curious.
Looks like he is referring to the cabinets. Usually on 6 chargers we see 1 a/b/c 2 a/b/c, Looks like this site is 1 a/b, 2 a/b, 3 a/b.

Actually went live late afternoon yesterday. Nice to see. Most people just travelling down 395 won't need it since Lee Vining and Bishop are only 65mi apart, but if you are towing and going up the hill, it would be nice (sadly no trailer spot though)

Yeah, lots of charging options along 395 all the way from SoCal to Reno. A Tesla charger just opened on 395 in Minden. NV. Now, if somebody would just stick a DCFC on highway 50 between Carson City and Ely, like around Middlegate or Austin, that would be awesome. It would open up eastern Nevada.

I'd like a RAN in Susanville - It would close the one gap from my area in OR all the way to San Diego using RAN down the east side - Mt Shasta to Truckee....

I know I've used them both. I was trying to utilize RAN entirely since I have free charging for a bit.

This is great Rivian! It’s not so much another spot on the 395 route as it is a way to keep your vehicle charged in mammoth while staying for a few days. Many visitors are at a hotel or condo with no level 2 charge. I’ve heard from many folks that have to bulk up a charge in Bishop just to last the weekend with local driving and battery drain.

New to rivian ownership. Is there an advantage to using the RAN network over Tesla SC?
Yes and no.

If you use DCFC (sorry, DC Fast Charger) often, and sign up for the Tesla SC membership, then it is lower cost per kWh than Rivian RAN in most places. If not, non-member pricing for Tesla SC is typically the same or higher than Rivians at RAN. Non-Rivians at RAN is higher than Tesla SC non-members, typically. Just remember to select the charging terminal number at the Tesla SC before plugging into the vehicle. Otherwise, you will not get the member pricing.

There is EA alternative with membership but ever since Tesla SC became an option, I never bother with EA. The limited number of their charging stalls compared to Tesla SCs such that I had to often wait for an open stall - no thanks it never happens at Tesla SC in my experience.

I do not use DCFC except on road trips so I sign up for a moth and cancel after the trip.

Last obvious thing is unless your R1T came with NACS (J3400) charging port, the legacy port is CCS1 and you will need an adapter to use it with Tesla SC.
