For those talking about inflection point, this isn't it. It's a great sign of confidence, but the inflection point will be when investors believe the cash bonfire is over.
I'm not sure what your point is.
It seems you want the user to have an eject button or something? Waymos already have several tools for the rider to use, but those all rely on the passenger. The reason more tools aren't offered? The likelihood of those emergency stop buttons causing harm are...
Lease a vehicle for tax efficiency limit downside risks 👍
Lease a vehicle because thats the only way you can afford it 👎
Historical note: No Tesla ever debuted with a lease option. The only reason it was likely included is it's the preferred way for corporations to acquire vehicles.
I see you are on Stage II Mark Rober Views: Negotiating. I'm at Stage IV: Annoying Protestor. Don't let my kids watch his videos and use him as an example of how fame and success can corrupt.
The Tesla/Luminar scam video was exactly that, a scam. They drove a old Tesla Model Y through a fake...
I refuse to believe that Rivian engineers are smarter than random people who post on this forum.
This wiper blade position is probably a bug and they got lucky. No one is smart enough to figure out how to solve for this situation, except for internet forum members of course.
Ya'll must be new to vehicle ramps. 😂
Production ramps like this follow a logistics curve. Extrapolation at this point would be like basing your lifetime expected earnings on what your parents gave you for allowance.
What pops out to me most is that these cars look amazing, super consistent...
Back in February I made price predictions along with many others, lets see how we stacked up now that the full configurator is live:
All prices include destination

“Once we secure the impacted area, we anticipate resuming operations in Building 2 (specifically for R2) this week,” spokesperson Marina Hoffmann said in an email, adding that operations at other facilities continue as planned...
Yes, I'm sure Rivian will regret not spending the money on development and parts for a feature only 1% of buyers would even be aware of and only 0.001% of would ever use.
Only thing that would make this better, is if they complained that R2 doesn't have a "low gear"
These situations always suck, because the payout never covers the hassle.
But in the end, we all should resist the temptation to think that just because a big rich company hurt you, you have won the lottery. A large part of the cost of everything these days is just for insurance to pay lawyers...
Saw a sample at the Venice R2 event, its definitely more of a light grey and nothing like what Tesla has. I had no reference, but most likely very similar to R1 light interiors
Well I asked a rep at todays R2 Event in Venice and he said no light interior on the first launch editions, but he said that there would be a light interior launch edition. What that means for timing I have no idea. But a real bummer.
No light interior at launch would be a surprise IMO, I feel like I watched most of the launch materials and launch timing was all about the trims, not options. (Remember when R1 only had one trim?)
At this stage as a company, their relationship with suppliers must enable them to handle two...
