I got a pre-production email with no VIN on June 27th

Looks like my pickup date will be July 20th in Costa Mesa. Looking forward to it!

Got my delivery date today and it’s the same place, same day! Might be a few being delivered that day

Apparently so…. When I was at the SC last Thursday, I only saw the two demo R2s.
But if they said they delivered one, that must mean we won’t have to go to Austin Space to pick up if I ever get to order one.

Yep, there's one Half Moon Gray one with 21s. Saw it at the SC and it had "matched" written on it a few weeks ago.

I wasn't expecting we would have to go to Austin to take delivery given that we have this service center/delivery demo center now. I was wondering when us here in San Antonio would get some love with R2 orders. Guess there's a lucky person out there some where amongst us....

So, it looks like Rivian is running production the smartest way possible. If you look at the color matrix and people who have received Vins. It's all the lowest % colors before letting it rip on LG and CC.
