It changes from day-to-day. I have to confess I never thought I would own a white car, but Glacier White with the black outside trim is really attractive. But for only $500 more I can get Forest Green.

Borealis is actually pretty nice, and color has always been important to me (photographer and photo editor in the top gem industry scientific journal). And it would make it easier to spot my vehicle in a parking lot. Of course, some day that won't be necessary with Autonomy+. Right?

Catalina Cove is really nice, but our daughter-in-law is getting a Performance with that color, so I want to be different. I'm thinking I might like Esker Silver enough to save money. Have to see it in person. That money would go to a spare tire, but White only adds about $15 to the payment, so what the heck? Too many choices.

All of you saying you like Borealis.... Have you actually seen one in person? One of my neighbors has a Borealis R1S and 90% of the time it just looks black. The light has to hit it the correct way for it to look purple. It's not quite the COLOR option I'd thought it was from photos.

That was my concern that is is typically dark and close to black in most lights. It seems one of those colors that looks nice but living with it long term is going to be for a very small number of people. This should have been reserved for RAD and a more popular color like Red Canyon used instead.

Nope- it was a great red too- That blue is SCREAMINGLY blue - to bright to my tastes. But considering bringing back the EV6 to the US in 2026 wasn't happening until very recently...
Yes, I'm happy about that. The lease on our 2024 EV6 is up in Jan and I plan to replace it with a '26 model. Great car. The R2 will be our second EV and serve as more of an SUV than the EV6 "wagon".

I've seen quite a few R2 demo/test videos where they had a Borealis. I was glad to see it looked a bit darker than on the website, but it never looked black to me.

Esker Silver is being waaaaaaayyyyyy under rated. It is a really nice color for being free. I feel it on a Performace is going to be rare and is definately a color option on my list. Even more if a darkout package becomes available later with Dark 21's. The letters will pop in contrast.
I agree and ordered it. For me, I decided I'd rather but the $2K toward "upgrading" to 20's and some bars, all weather mats. Found this online- albeit with CC vs black butI like it and think it will be unique.

I drove it last week and probably would have bought if R2 wasn’t in the cards. It looks great in Hawk Gray.

So funny enough I dislike it on the R1 but really dig it on the R2. It being darker is kind of a plus to me and contrasts well with coastal cloud interior. I would honestly rank midnight higher if black cars ever found a way to not look dirty. Borealis is a happy medium for me.

I had thought the launch green with crater black interior, but seeing that exact one yesterday, I’m not sure. I like the launch green but the Catalina cove color (just the show piece haven’t seen a full car) is a cool color and totally changes from in sunlight to shade. I’ve always gone with black interior and hated white, but wow the model they had with black interior was scratched up a ton on the interior door and floor piece. Now I’m wondering if the white would show scuffs as much.

Here are my rankings:

Catalina Cove
Forest Green
Glacier White
Esker Silver
Half Moon Grey
Launch Green
Borealis
Midnight

That said, if Rivian Blue was available -- that would be my #1 (it's what I have on my R1S). Red Canyon would be #2.
