Compressor is not included. You can buy portable compressors from any auto parts store, or home improvement store, or Harbor Freight, Amazon, Walmart, etc.. You can spend as little as $30 or over $300 for a high quality, high volume one from a specialty off-roading store (i.e. ARB).

The Rivian mobility kit, in the Gear Shop, which includes a canister of sealant, also includes a small compressor. Similar kits are also available all over the internet and at stores mentioned above. Also at various price points.
I'm fairly sure these are spares that have to be inflated, like the one for the R1S. It would be ridiculous for Rivian to not include a method of inflating them. They don't mention an inflator, but it does say this:

Does the R1S space saver come with inflator? And not all Gen 2 cars have the on-board compressor.

Both my R1S (gen1/gen2) with the space savers have onboard compressors, so I can't really answer your question.

I have actually inflated them before because I was very curious if they would deflate back to fit into the storage area again. They do. Very weird.

I mean go through the R1S configurator. The on-board compressor is NOT standard equipment for certain trims. Yet, those customers can buy the space saver spare from the Gear Shop, which does not include a inflator. So, yes, Rivian does silently say "figure it out, you're not an idiot".

Amazon search for "portable compressor". No one can say they can't solve this problem.

[CORRECTION] There was a trim of the R1S where the compressor was not included. Now discontinued. Still, when that trim was available, those owners are not barred from purchasing the space saver, which has never included an inflator.

What is standard on R2 are power outlets that can power portable compressors—theirs and aftermarket.

I am if I get a spare without a way to inflate or install it. Speaking from experience here with my Sierra EV.

The last two used 15+ year old cars I purchased had the original spares in them. Small, non expanding spare tires were $200+ 5 years ago for a lightweight vehicle to replace (which I did do).

Hopefully the R2 is compatible with the R1 spare, I'd just probably swap the spare to an R2 if I decide to get it in the future. I'm still holding out for the R3!!!

Do you lose storage space if you have the spare tire included? Or do you lose ground clearance in the back? Unless the R2 has an extension charm I'm trying to understand where the spare tire goes.

It goes under the rear cargo area deck like in the R1S. There is a decent amount of space under there you could use for storage if you do not get the spare.

I've seen some deals for some lithium ion inflators that work surprisingly well. Probably good enough for a spare tire at least.

I believe even Costco carries some that are Fanttik brand every now and then. Those go on sale/clearance too.

If R2 needs to sell at $45k or so, this will not fly. I was talking to a friend considering R2 earlier today.
