Rivian R1S gets EV Sportline Rock Slider / Running Boards - Step up & Protect!

As a side note to the running boards be aware of the aero panels for the R1T. The aft panel must be removed to gain access to the puck jack point. This requires you to get under truck to remove 3 screws to remove the panel before the truck is jacked up. The front aero panel has the traditional pop out cover. I can't imagine trusting a tire company or service provider to remove and reinstall the rear cover properly.

It's not a big deal to pop that cover off - maybe 60 seconds of effort. If your tire shop can't handle that, i'd be worried that will handle the tire job competently. Any reasonably competent tire installer will have no problems here.

Mine bent yesterday after a close encounter with a rock while off roading.

I think the rock felt it because it split in half , but I can barely open my driver door as the bottom of the door rubs on the bent rock slider.

I would say they did their job, real life testing

reaching out to them for a crash replacement, I tried bending it back down by hitting it with a 10lb sledge hammer with a piece of 2x4 on the rock slider to cosmetically protect it, but it did not move even a single millimeter. I suppose it took a 7k+ lb hit to bend it, I would probably need the same force to bend it back?

Have you gotten the fix or replacement for the bent slider?

Also how what did you mount that whip up in there?

Yes EV sportline was super helpful at getting me a crash replacement main tube frame, at great price and super fast too. Highly recommend them

And for the whip, you need to buy 3 items from Amazon, on the top of our R1S's there is a metal flange that separates the third row small glass roof from the main front large glass roof. So I got a super strong magnet bracket, which then I added a whip spring to and then the flag holder.
It works perfectly. Driven 70+ mph on washes with no issues, magnets are awesome.

I love having it up there cuz its always the tallest flag from any other vehicle since it starts from the roof top instead off a bumper, so you will be seen before anyone, specially over dunes or deep washes.
