Hate to be that guy, but I'd buy these with some hesitation. Do your research.

I've sent emails that span over a month regarding some rust buildup (in non contact areas: appearing to be joints/welds that should also be protected since they're UNDER the skid plate) that have continued to go unanswered. I have serious manufacturing quality concerns.

@EV Sportline has been notoriously difficult from time to time to deal with, but eventually most of us get through. (You can search this forum for many other threads in this regard).

Seems like this time around, they're not wanting to stand by their products. I guess they're hoping I go away? SO, yeah, I'm totally jumping on this opportunity to name and shame the social media way since they won't answer me via their own channels.

Good luck everyone!

I remember reading some threads about Rivan refusing to put vehicles on lifts with aftermarkets runners or rock sliders.

Has anyone had recent experience with this? Is this still true?
In my experience, and with the experience I have discussing this with others, on these forums, others, Reddit, and Discord....

It's 100% up to the discretion of your local Service Center.

My SC official policy is "no sliders if we cannot reach the factory lift points."
I've pushed back on this grey area and the senior advisor is willing to let me 'try' to bring it in with them installed (I've defaulted to removing them every time--hence why I'm VERY AWARE of the rust defect I mentioned above) next time I drop it... because technically EVS does simply 'relocate' the factory lift points to directly below the existing lift points, and you can still use jack pucks on them.

TL;DR: ask your local SC directly.

Hey there! We answer every email, so if you haven't heard back from us there's likely an issue with us getting your messages. Please shoot me a DM with your name, order number, and photos of the issue and I'll gladly get you taken care of. These shouldn't rust at all, which is why we have no problem replacing these if they do.

I'm going to shoot you a DM, but I want full transparency for everyone.
You (EV sportline) absolutely did answer my original correspondence via email. So, playing the 'tech failed us' victim is played out. Your initial answer was "we'll look into it," and after 3 weeks, I received a response along the lines of "we haven't heard back from our warranty team, yet"

This is some pretty trash customer service.

It was just a guess, Joe, not an explanation. Got your DM and found your ticket. I've reached out internally for an update.

Mine bent yesterday after a close encounter with a rock while off roading.

I think the rock felt it because it split in half :giggle:, but I can barely open my driver door as the bottom of the door rubs on the bent rock slider.

I would say they did their job, real life testing

reaching out to them for a crash replacement, I tried bending it back down by hitting it with a 10lb sledge hammer with a piece of 2x4 on the rock slider to cosmetically protect it, but it did not move even a single millimeter. I suppose it took a 7k+ lb hit to bend it, I would probably need the same force to bend it back?

My EV sportline running boards have been on my R1s for a little over a year now. They have been nice and I dont see any rust. I live in Miami so salt water air is present. I do have a habit of washing my own car once or twice a month.

My SC has serviced my vehicle a couple of times (AC noise, 12v bracket replacement, Hub and halfshaft replacements, wheel alignment and rotations) did not mention anything about the running boards I have.

Are there any current specials for R1S 2023 running boards? I noticed the Black Friday deals on the site, but the prices seem about the same as they’ve been over the past few months. Also, the free shipping coupon shared on the forums keeps giving me an error saying it’s not valid for my shipping address — I’m located in California.

Hi there - yes, the BF deal is active - we do not offer free shipping on these, unfortunately the ups/fedex costs are too high for us to absorb those. Occasionally we have cosmetic blem 'open box / scratch & dent' specials on these -- we have a few cosmetic blem R1T sets now, but no R1S blems. The best 'deal' we have for your 2023 R1S is the Rock Sliders - those are at a crazy low price, and it's a lot more product than running boards -- check those here: https://evsportline.com/collections/black-friday-sale-30-off-select-products

Also keep in mind - these are real / actual 'rock sliders'. Don't be fooled, so many others are marketing their running boards as rock sliders - which is a joke. Be sure you look over the product designs - not just the marketing fluff. We have full resolution photos and videos showing the extreme duty nature of our rock sliders - structural frames, heavy duty skid plates, and tread plates.

As a side note to the running boards be aware of the aero panels for the R1T. The aft panel must be removed to gain access to the puck jack point. This requires you to get under truck to remove 3 screws to remove the panel before the truck is jacked up. The front aero panel has the traditional pop out cover. I can't imagine trusting a tire company or service provider to remove and reinstall the rear cover properly.

I was actually thinking of ordering a set for R1S with Aero Panels. Not sure if i want that as well if its same for R1S.
