I recently crossed over the 50k mile threshold in my 2022 Gen 1 Quad. Given that the bumper to bumper warranty expires at 60k miles, I am wondering if I should proactively have any service items inspected or addressed. I already had all recall items performed and power tonneau cover replaced with the updated version. Anything else I should consider for a service appointment?

Schedule it NOW, because you'll probably have to wait 3 months or more to get in.

I would have them do the comprehensive inspection - a few hundred dollars to get them to look at all the things that usually break is worth it if they find even 1 thing still covered by warranty.

What he said. You might also consider extended warranty. Cheers.

I just dropped $260 on the “bottom panels off” inspection at 57k miles. Truck felt fine, no issues I could tell, but they still ended up replacing both rear dampers, front lower control arms, upper bushings, and a couple other things. Honestly pretty impressed, since there were zero signs of trouble (no compressor strain, no suspension noise up front).

After that I grabbed the XCare warranty, which my SC said a few of their customers had already gotten good use out of it. Plan is to run the wheels off this truck. Sitting at 60,350 miles now and still loving it… this thing might outlast me at this rate.

I scheduled a mobile service appointment for tire rotation
Zach was kind enough to go over a lot of visual checks and then credit me the cost
He noticed leaking rear dampers that are getting changed out now
Edit : sitting at 56k miles now

I had my comprehensive inspection in April at 57K miles. Replaced 3 dampers and jounce lines, reroute A/C lines, replace tonneau cover, and several modules, such as ADAS. Now at 66K miles w/ XCare extended warranty that I purchased in March at 55K miles.

The amount of money being thrown around in this thread with all this suspension work basically confirms keeping this vehicle out of warranty is pretty stupid thing to do….. kinda sucks if I’m being honest.

It’s kind of amazing that someone will have their truck inspected at 57k miles, find a ton of stuff going bad, replace it, and then come away with the conclusion that the truck will last forever. It JUST had a ton of hidden issues! Lol

I had a comprehensive inspection at 58K and they updated the front suspension to a newer design. But there were no issues from my perspective. So yes that is a plus because I didn't need any suspension fixes before and this was seemingly pro-active. I since then had an issue with AC coolant getting plugged up at 64k (first time also) and they covered the update to newer design no cost. So yes get the comprehensive inspection, but don't stress about going past bumper-to-bumper.

Or it lasted 56k and those new items are now good for another 56k
If the glass is half empty ask for a refill

I’m just bummed these vehicles can’t go 60k miles without 6-8k worth of suspension fixes.

Like some already stated, always get rid of the vehicle before the warrantee expires. Ideally a year left would help salvage a step down on a residual value over just about to expire.

While I am sure that the vehicle will perform well past the warrantee period, it will gradually decrease in range and at some point it will be 180 mile range vehicle with very little residual value. Many people see this as the "heavy paper weight".

I also had the entire front end replaced when I asked them to look it over, and also didn't notice much of an issue, or nor do I notice much of a difference with the new one. I don't see it as maintenance that will need to be done every X miles, this is a different design. The original design had some flaws, the newer one fixed those. Now that it's updated I'm hoping its good now. Might be crazy, we will see what I think in 2 years when the warranty is about to expire.
