Ever since the last update 2025.10.1, my alarm gets triggered randomly and repeatedly. My phone will get the notification every few minutes. When i check my cameras there is no one nearby and Gear Guard has not captured anyone nearby. My vehicle is undamaged and seemingly undisturbed. This has happened on 5 different occasions now since I installed the last update. It happened 3 times while my dog was in the back seat and twice when the car was empty, all times the door was locked.

Just to be clear my dog is INSIDE the vehicle when the alarm is going off. Not sure if his movements or barking could trigger the alarm. Its been inconsistent where I'd say less that 20% of the time he triggers the alarm so not sure what the root cause it.

Gen1, R1T, S/W version 2025.10.1

Anyone else experience this?

Have not experienced that. It will alarm if motion is detected in the vehicle so that could explain when the dog was in the truck. Interior motion detection can be disabled (I have this turned off because of my dogs).

Outside of that, you may be dealing either with a software bug or defective sensor. Here are the conditions that can trigger the alarm:

Panic mode seems an unlikely trigger in your case, as does tilting (unless it's a sensor causing a false reading).

Not sure how interior motion is determined so not sure if something like high winds might trigger a false alarm. Was it windy at the time of the alarms, especially those not potentially triggered by the dog?

If no legitimate physical triggers can be identified, perhaps a faulty door, hood, tunnel door sensor. I know there were some early issues with vehicles not wanting to sleep due to hood sensor issues.

I have also had this occur. The app indicates that the alarm has been triggered. My dog was in the truck at the time. I assume you have to set the vehicle to pet mode to prevent this.

Well, since I installed the latest update, I have received the alarm notification 4 or 5 times. Just now I looked out and my truck lights were flashing. Yesterday it happened twice while in my garage. This is a new affectation since the update to 2025.18.01. I have gear guard off at the house so that doesn't make much sense.

I got this a few times last week in Canada, but never heard the alarm, just really really delayed notifications. I think it was the dog, or the ferry. That or my alarm was going off while I was driving?

I have animals jumping on my car literally every time it's in the garage and they've only managed to set off the alarm once, I think? 😹 That said, I do have "Gear Guard off at home" setting on. It may have turned itself back on before after a software update...

I've had an ongoing issue with my alarm and so far they replaced the module in the ceiling, the intrusion module and I just got my car back for the third time and they replaced the door handle(sensors in the door handle). Hopefully this fixes it, but mine seemed to be going off when i was near the vehicle but not close enough for the vehicle to unlock

Happens to me somewhat frequently when our dog is in the car. Pet mode is almost always on, so I don't think that will help.

I have but he’s still an asshole.
Probably hangs out with our dog. She a 7lbs Maltese that's about 8" tall, on a good day. That does not stop her from bullying every dog in the neighbourhood. It's gotten to the point where people cross the street when they see us coming. It's embarrassing.
