Wait for a Scout or buy the Hummer EV.

This could be. But on other hand, if the cars were reliable we also wouldn’t get these accounts. Surveys show Rivian quality is poor. I personally have had three and all three have had issues of one kind or another. Lots of them.I think forums typically skew peoples thinking because of the number of issues posted. If it is working good no one posts about it.
I mean if you want an ICE SUV that will forever, you get a Highlander or Pilot. Awesome tech and the Highlander hybrid has great mileage.I’m also open to going back to ICE. Just not sure where to land since I’d planned on being in this truck for a very long time.
I get it; you're between a rock and a hard place. If you get another Rivian and it's messed up, you'll be Hulk-level angry. If you get something else that isn't as good you'll be pissy the entire time you have it because you'll be confronted by its shortcomings. My opinion is colored by the fact that my two Rivians have been reliable, so it's easier for me to say.My R1T is a ‘22. The fact that they’re buying it back surprised me but also tells me what the truck has put me through isn’t typical… but I can’t/wont get bitten twice
Thank you for entering! This year's EV Raffle winner actually chose a Tri-Max R1T: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/...any-ev-before-they-sell-out.39441/post-752629I would consider an EV9 or the Volvo EX90 (which finally got mentioned 34 posts in by @mkg3) if you want three row seating both have an 6 passenger captains chair option for the second row. If my EB raffle ticket came in a winner I would have loaded up an EX90 to replace a family members Model Y (sadly not a winner this year).
I had a similar situation with my Launch Edition Gen1 R1T. I ended up purchasing a Gen 2 tri motor last month. So far so good. Besides a slightly misaligned gear door and a passenger door rattle on the interior (both which I have a service appointment to fix) this vehicle has been great. Glad I decided to stay with Rivian.Hey!
I’ve lurked here for many years, but my time with Rivian is coming to an a sad but optimistic end.
After 11 different trips to the service center and over 4 months of SC stays, Rivian is buying back my R1T. I can’t trust it anymore. I still love the thing but I won’t be holding the bag when the warranty is up.
looking for an SUV- anyone like me who has made the jump, or if you HAD to jump….In which vehicle would you land? Don’t say Tesla.
