Let's cut the OP some slack. It wasn't his first post. Maybe he didn't know that Rivian's QC could be so spotty.
I almost never took a checklist to buy a car until I bought my Teslas. I probably bought over 100 cars/trucks and never needed to. I did on some classic cars. I can't remember the last new car before a Tesla that I took a checklist to make sure it had no significant issues.
Typically a walkaround was sufficient. Sometimes you don't catch things during that walkaround.
Also we shouldn't assume that someone is here diligent reading all the posts to see how bad the QC can be or what issues you really need to be aware of. Some people have lives filled with things other than obsessing over cars/trucks.
I looked through some of the OP's posts and they don't like a one and done, overly negative poster. I can understand that some people drop in to crap all over Rivian. Even if they are a 1 and done, some of the commentary still may be warranted.
If we treat most people like I've seen with this person, why would anyone post here?
I've been here about 6 months, and I think this forum is less friendly overall than it was when I joined. We need to welcome people, even if we disagree with them, rather than drive them away. Lots of people may be lurking and be reluctant to join as a result. Even if I don't agree with someone, I still give them the benefit of the doubt.
If this were someone's first post, I'd definitely be less tolerant, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
