I think its more of a suite. Gen 2 gives you more ability, therefore do more things, I am fine with gen 2 getting the more advanced features being a subscription, but i believe they are potentially locking basic features in with advanced features to create a value proposition for Gen2 and hopefully convert Gen 1 owners to Gen 2.This doesn't make sense, mainly because the subscription applies to Gen 1 as well. So if they are charging Gen 1 owners for connect+ the same amount they are charging for Gen 2 owners your theory doesn't match up with what's going on.
Changing Gen 1 to a subscription, when it wasn't sold that way would cause anger in the other direction. I don't want much, I just want an adaptive cruise control system that is stable. Nothing more.
