It's a big motivator for leasing, but they are inflating the residual at the same time, so if you actually want to buy it out, it's a bad deal.

Musk is supposedly supporting ending the tax credit.

Tesla has the scale and profitability to ride out a dip in sales like this. Tesla’s competitors don’t.

The real question is whether 50% of both the house and senate vote for this, when there’s major auto related manufacturing spread through both red and blue congressional districts.

Seriously... are tax credits fair to begin with? I gladly took my amended $7500 tax credit last year after getting my Rivian, but ultimately, I'll be paying it back. Wouldn't it be better to not pay so much income tax to begin with, so we don't have to subsidize these credits?
