Thank you all for the good news. I will be reading the posts and hoping that there are no troubles like blowouts or something.

Ugh, I just put 4 new Pirelli's on my R1T less than a month ago! Tried for an alternative, however, DT only had the Pirelli's. Unfortunately, I had a screw in my tire and the tread was low enough they wouldn't (couldn't) repair it. I absolutely had the treadwear of the Pirelli's. Always been poor compared to Michelin's. I've had them on VW's and Porsche's and the results were always the same. I only got 20K miles on the factory Pirelli's.

Same - and whether there is any noticeable difference in efficiency. I’d assume it would be roughly the same though.
It appears that they weigh 8lbs less per tire so I am hoping it will go up, even if the rolling resistance is higher on the Michelins.

Yep, the Defenders. Discount Tire isn’t charging install fees as they’re matching Costco on that.
Not true here. I confirmed a DT, "no" via the matching online process (chat) and by calling two local stores. AMF, DT - Hello Costco for $1532, installed!

they don't show when I search the costco site, but the 20" version does (275/60/20) and they are even less expensive ~1k after discount. I think I still may switch to 20" rims when mine are ready to be replaced. Not sure what the difference between ltx m/s2 and the x LT A/S 2 are?

I got caught up on the excitement for the Michelin 21's, and I ordered a bit too premature so I'm debating what to do.

My appointment is on Tuesday.

I figure my options are to get them replaced on Tuesday or reschedule for a date a few months from now after I've worn down my original tires a bit more. I don't want to go too low because I live in the PNW where it dumps rain on us all the time.

I'm replacing the factory 21 tires that have 30,000 miles on them.

Here is the tread depth left

FL -> .20"
FR -> .21"
RL -> .193"
RR -> .15"

Note -> I don't know why my RR is so low in comparison. I did wait too long to do the initial tire rotation so they've only been rotated once (at around 20K miles). I also used conserve mode a lot more in the early days with the lower ride height. Since 15K or so miles I've mostly use all-purpose with the regular ride height.
Same boat as you. 26K miles - more wear on one pair of tires than the other. Used Conserve a lot earlier but less lately. I am interested in hearing your experience with the Michelins before I replace.

Relatively quick update: had my 20k Pirellis swapped with the Michelins on Friday due to a curb-rash/puncture and I’ve driven around 40 miles total since then. My first impressions are that the ride is softer, the initial turn-in seems more immediate (there’s a sort of fun road near my house with a long sweeper that I can take at decent speed), but I can’t tell if it’s my imagination or if the “road-holding” after they load up is not quite as good as the Pirellis. Literally splitting hairs there in my mind, but someone with more track experience could probably make a better call on that. Overall, *very* happy with these tires. So far so good.

Whoa, did I miss a thread or something?

Tire rack ratings, Pirelli's (11M miles) versus Michelin (1M miles "newer" G2 tire). Key for me is Noise M9.2 vs P7.4, Wet M9.4 vs P8.2 and Treadwear M9.5 vs P 6.7. No off-road for Pirelli in ratings.

As mentioned, Costco has not yet updated the retail web page for this new product. Go to the store if you want a Costco deal. See link above. ☝

They need to be broken in 500 miles and more and the handling will improve considerably over the Pirellis. I am very happy with how it feels now as I am a very spirited driver.

There are too many separate forum threads on this tire, can we merge them all together. I gave some feedback on these tires on the other thread.

Ok, got the Defenders installed yesterday at Discount Tire. They matched Costco, did an instant $150 off Michelin coupon and gave me 1/2 price on the road hazard (piece of mind). All told about $1700 out the door. And the tires have a 70,000 mile warranty (Pirelli’s had none)!
Will report on the performance and any range differences after a couple of months.
