Excited to have the other option for the 21’s. Discount Tire has them and I get 4 installed next Tuesday. All told, it will be over $600 less than the Pirellis and potentially longer wear life. And, they may even have a warranty!

I'd be interested in hearing about noise level and ride quality, as compared to the "for EV" Pirellis.

This is the same tire used for 275/60R20, so those reviews should apply, sidewall is just 1/2” shorter…

I assume you're referring to Defender LTX M/S2 275/55 R21 116H XL BSW

Correct? $364/ea in my region (before install and whatnot)

Yep, the Defenders. Discount Tire isn’t charging install fees as they’re matching Costco on that.

Sidewall makes a difference. Would still love to hear what people think - people who have first hand experience with the new 21s.

I got caught up on the excitement for the Michelin 21's, and I ordered a bit too premature so I'm debating what to do.

My appointment is on Tuesday.

I figure my options are to get them replaced on Tuesday or reschedule for a date a few months from now after I've worn down my original tires a bit more. I don't want to go too low because I live in the PNW where it dumps rain on us all the time.

I'm replacing the factory 21 tires that have 30,000 miles on them.

Here is the tread depth left

FL -> .20"
FR -> .21"
RL -> .193"
RR -> .15"

Note -> I don't know why my RR is so low in comparison. I did wait too long to do the initial tire rotation so they've only been rotated once (at around 20K miles). I also used conserve mode a lot more in the early days with the lower ride height. Since 15K or so miles I've mostly use all-purpose with the regular ride height.

I'm in the same ballpark as you @31k miles on OEM Pirelli 21s. I have at least 3-4k miles left in them. I got a absolutely nuts deal on the new Michelin tires, my quote is good for 30 days from DT. Michelin rep said there is also a rebate they will announce by end of August. Then as someone above said, DT will waive install fee to compete with Costco. Hard to pass all that.

If you’re in the Hagerty Drivers Club, there’s a $100 rebate for buying a set of Michelins (up to three sets this year).
I’ve got $200 coming my way.

No one with actual experience to report yet? When were these tires released for the 21” Tivian sized wheel?

I believe they just came out like ten days ago. People who ordered months ago just started getting theirs last week. [per Reddit]

Same - and whether there is any noticeable difference in efficiency. I’d assume it would be roughly the same though.
