I remember when home delivery was the only option for Rivian here in Oregon. It was one of the coolest things to see my truck arrive like that. $1,500 seems a wee bit steep though.
Almost everyone says you’ll get used to it, and that’s true to an extent, but I’m not sure you’ll ever like it. I strongly dislike 1 pedal driving and I’ve had my truck for over 3 years. I tolerate it, but will never like it.
There’s no perfect vehicle and they all have pros and cons. Overall...
RJ can’t place the blame on inexperienced/mom and pop body shops. Rivian won’t sell parts to anyone other than a Rivian-certified repair facility so it’s not likely that many people are taking their vehicles to some inexperienced repair facility.
The only one in Oregon through at least 2023...
The R2 will be nicer than the Mach E but not as nice as the R1. I don’t consider the R1 luxury though, more of a premium level. My interior shows almost no wear after almost 3.5 years though, so that’s nice.
Out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on purchasing a 3rd party extended warranty? Sounds like you really liked the Rivian and that may have been a viable alternative. Mine is over 3 years old and I’m planning on purchasing an extended warranty in a few years since I can’t find an EV...
Having ~320 miles of range gets rid of the daily range issues in the winter. My prior EV’s only has about 200 in ideal conditions and winter range anxiety and issues really sucked.
I’ve always had that issue on my Gen 1 when I start the climate controls from the app. However, if I turn on defrost instead of just the typical climate controls, it’ll re-open my vents and go back to my prior settings when I manually turn off defrost inside the car. Sometimes that still...
There’s a way to contribute to a thread but coming in with basically a rambling 2:00 AM drunk text on an unrelated matter is not one of them.
The follow up message still has minimal information. It seems odd that all of this seems to have concluded with you not buying a Rivian quite some time...
I’ve heard the compliance car argument on some cars before, but I don’t think Toyota needed one in any of the markets it was selling in. Admittedly, I didn’t do a ton of digging on it though.
The bz4x was a disaster that I can hardly believe Toyota would deliberately tarnish its name with. I normally wouldn’t say this about Toyota but yeah, I’m taking the “show me” approach to any Toyota EV right now.
