I honestly think the main benefit is getting away from the 21" tire size for Gen 1 range wheels.

On there configurator, all 22in tires have the same range. Has Rivian not updated the specs or tested it for real world? It doesn't make sense if the 22 Darks have the same range as the 22 Range.. All show 410 miles.

At first glance of the tread photo I thought it had some weird smooth patch down the center ?

I really like these wheels. I’m going to look for some take offs next spring and PC them bronze for my “range tire” setup.

Looks bad on the R1S, but would look ok on the R1T with knobby tires.

I like them, especially on the forest green, at least in photos. I think the Sport wheels look better in person than in photos.

Also, I would like to see some full vehicle shots of the new aeros with the covers off.

There is no way the 22 darks have the same range as the 22 aeros. No way. I think they have not done EPA testing with the 22 non-aeros yet.

My guess is 5-10% less range than the aeros. Maybe even worse.

Range is a bit of a marketing thing. Even their website lists the 22 aero and 22 sport having the exact same range which means the efficiency is negligible.

That being said it looks really good with the cover off.

Exactly my thought. Terrible design choice. It ruins the aesthetics of the R1. I can't unsee it.
