The Lucid Gravity is a great minivan without sliding doors. It was on our short list. It was a 51/49 situation and the R1S eventually took the cake.

With Tesla expected to launch the Model YL in North America soon (this weekend?), it got me thinking... Even though the YL is a six-seater and the R2 is currently a five-seater, I think they'll compete for many of the same buyers, especially families and those looking for extra interior space...

Yea I get it. As a programmer if I had the script for pet mode on the R1 that works great, it wouldn't be necessary to rewrite the same code. From my perspective it just doesn't make sense.

I'm honestly surprised Pet Mode isn't available at launch. It seems like such a straightforward feature, so I'm curious what's making it complex enough to require an OTA update? I've never really understood situations like this. What am I missing?
