I'm not the one who is confused. :CWL:
I can't tell if your reading comprehension is that bad, or you're so rabidly anti-Tesla that you're just making things up.

Were you not saying that Rivian's ADAS will be like a 2019 Tesla (100% opinion btw) just in time for Teslas to be FULLY AUTONOMOUS? That is a direct quote from your post. Then you said that was a FACT for some reason, which is odd because it hasn't happened yet.

Pretty simple stuff. Maybe read your post back to yourself out loud in the mirror and you will better understand what you wrote? :like:

Yes, 100% fact if you believe the Rivian announcement. But, shit, maybe you're right, and Rivian lied, and they will be more like a 2016 Tesla. So sure, it could be worse than promised. It's surely not going to be better than promised, which is at best just AP but more limited. Much more limited. Easy fact...can it work down my neighborhood streets? Nope.

Nice try. Your comment (the one I quoted for you multiple times) claimed it was a fact Teslas would be "truly autonomous" when the refreshed Rivians come out with the announced ADAS systems. I said it hasn't happened despite being promised for over 10 years. Now you are trying to focus on anything but what you said.

That is what I was referring to and you know it. Have a great day :like:

And...even the previous version of FSD is pretty much full auto, but I used "in the future" because I know that you Tesla haters will jump on any claims if it's not 101% perfect. But it's probably 99%. This is from someone who'd once told me he wouldn't have/trust a self driving car in his lifetime.

Beautiful afternoon for the car to take me on a drive.

My car finally got 12.3.6 FSD and a free one month subscription a few days ago. I decided to give it a try on a 113 mile trip to pick up a used lithium battery. I will say the car was able to make it there without me taking over or providing any steering inputs or brakes.I traveled freeways and side roads and it got me there without any issues. I noticed a few things that needs to be fixed, not using a turn signal when the lane ends and it moves over into the adjacent lane. It makes sure there is no conflict but does not signal. It leaves a larger 3 car cushion at even slower speeds. I would think that it would shorten the distance ce when getting below 30mph. Slow to accelerate back up to posted speed even if there is plenty of distance between me and car ahead. It also drove on the white line a few times on two lane highway with opposing traffic. It's just crazy to think no input is needed for a car to takweyou places.

I'm tall, so I can minimally reach over the sides of my F-150 4x4 (which is taller than 4x2 versions). When I say "minimally" I mean it's not really practical in most cases to be reaching over the sides and someone of average height cannot realistically achieve anything by reaching over the bed sides.

Yet the F-150 is the best-selling truck in America and most of them are 4x4. Most buyers cannot reach over the bed sides. That tells me it's not as important as non-truck people think it is. I do appreciate the way the bed lowers on both the Cybertruck and the Rivian. The Rivian bed doesn't go as low as the Cybertruck, nor is it as deep. The lockable cargo area under the tonneau on the Rivian is limited to objects only 17.1" high, which is a real limitation, the Cybertruck can fit items up to 29.5" tall under the tonneau, over a full foot taller. That's a real advantage of having tall bed sides.

I would rather have the extra lockable height than be able to reach over the bed sides, that's just not how trucks are loaded or unloaded. My $7,000 carbon fiber 29er with carbon fiber gravel bike in X-Large frame size fits easily under the Cybertruck lockable tonneau cover, in the Rivian I would have to lock it up with a cable through both carbon fiber rims to keep them safe, but people could still be tempted because it would be in plain site, they could see how valuable it was. A simple cable cutter and it's gone.

I really don't understand the fixation with reaching over the bed sides when it so severely limits the cargo volume. The huge lockable storage of the Cybertruck is one of its greatest strengths, for those who need a truck. It's very secure too.
Idk how much Tesla is paying you to be a brand ambassador, but it’s not enough. You’re working overtime. Nice flex on the bike. It’s genuinely cool to me that you’re using the CT as a truck, loading up to max payload with logs that you cut; I bet 95% of the people who buy one do t use it as a truck, so I respect that. I’ve never had a need to load that many logs in my truck before and likely never will, but if I did, I would use a trailer and my truck could do it no problem. Anyways, I’m happy you like your CT, it’s a cool truck (just like the R1T) and it sounds like it fits your use case perfectly. The sloped roof and high bedsides are deal breakers for me personally, but keep the shiny side up and enjoy the CT.

edit: don’t forget to vote for Papa Elon’s $56B pay package, he deserves it after firing all of those employees.

Not at all. It's clearly, easily seen fact that is documented. And I happen to talk to the head of auto AI at Nvidia almost daily, I think he called Rivian ADAS "kindergarten level," but what would he know. Your forced justification of choosing a Rivian is ugly. I chose a Rivian, and traded in a Tesla, knowing that I was stepping back into the stone ages on ADAS.
Cool story bro

I know, thanks!

Talking to the person who gave me the Tesla FSD report above, he hadn't changed the driving parameters from "chill" to the more aggressive settings, so that may fix his complaints.

The Count suffered a cybertuck sighting at the major intersection in his county (and at one of two sets of stop lighted intersections in the county). The Count is seriously considering moving if this type of painful experience continues.

it looks so tiny in person. The Count figures these drivers have very very tiny hands.

Yeah, thanks for the good wishes.

The reason I don't use a trailer for firewood cutting is there is competition on the public lands to get the best firewood logs. Yes, it all burns, but some of it is 2X as good as the rest. I find my best scores on side spurs with no turnarounds at the end. It would be completely impractical to back a trailer down many of these trails. And I have limited space to park a trailer anyway, it would just be in the way, slowly rusting away. How come no one makes a decent stainless-steel trailer?

Cost of my firewood cutting permit? $0.00
Cost of my "fuel" for my truck and saw? $0.30 plus $0.20 for bar oil

Wood heat warmth all winter and socializing by the fire? Priceless.

Somebody likes attention!

God bless you for that, SEPA R1T. But, sheesh the amount of Elon-is-the-messiah love I had to scroll through to get to that, I’m almost too exhausted to chuckle. Almost.
