Has anyone had the "Exit truck and stay away for your safety" alert?

Plugged into a Rivian DCFC today, within 30 seconds got the alert. Came in with 50%SOC, 15 min battery prep. Outside temp 90°.

Hard resets temporarily resolve the alert. Vehicle driveable but battery icon stays on. Checked voltage on 12v once home: 13.04v/13.16v.

Anyone with a similar experience or idea what's going on?

Well, that is both frightening and reassuring.

Frightening that it happened, reassuring that there is a system in place in the Rivian to actually alert you about this.

The 12v battery is right next to the cabin air intake, which I have thought of as a design flaw from the first time I saw it. If the 12v battery has a failure of some type, sulfuric acid fumes can be discharged and be pulled into the cabin from the intake.

I assume they have a sensor of some type in that intake and that sensor is what is causing your warning.

But I am just sort of guessing too.

There is a reddit post about the same warning about a year back, it's related to the 12V battery overcharging and getting hot..

It would be neat if the HVAC switched to recirculate only, when that message popped up.

the battery is LiFeP04, not lead acid.
