Yeah, it’s always been interesting that they decided to lean into the trucks before the SUV. Seems like FAR more demand for the R1S.

I agree and I've said that from day one. The SUV market is much bigger than the truck market, especially when you consider that the R1T isn't a fullsize truck. I always wondered why Rivian decided to launch the truck before the SUV.

I think it was about being unique. They could be the first electric truck on the market. So they weren't running straight at Tesla with vehicle #1.

But yeah, the SUV market is definitely bigger, especially for people who want electric. It makes far more sense for me to have a 7-seat electric SUV and an old gas truck than an electric truck and a gas SUV.

Don’t know, we are in the unknown completely. I just hope 2 things not happening for now:
1 Amazon cancelling the deal and selling stocks
2 Rivian putting off R2

When your stock price is so heavily affected by the actions of a competing crazy CEO it's hard for management to really do much about it.

Sell off today is much more about Teslas demand falling off the cliff due to people not wanting to be associated with Elon as much as anything else

Wouldn't be surprised to find out he is systematically trying to get rid of his competition either. I can't help but get the "It's important to save the world but only if it's me" vibe from his behavior in general.

Concerning .. sure. The only thing they can do now is to continue executing on all their plans they laid out. Can't control the markets linking Tesla and Rivian.

Agreed!

Kind of makes it feel like RIVN is still being punished because soooo many lost $$$$$ on that crazy high IPO and subsequent/short lived run-up that ensued.
