While the planned events will allow for seeing all or most of the color choices, they did say you could opt for a test drive at your home, and they bring it to you. I guess we will find out when they send out the first batch of invites.

It would be more fun to go to an event and meet other pre-order holders in person.

I'm about 60 miles from Normal, so I hope to be in the 1st batch of invites !

I wonder how they determine proximity to send you an invite. Is it based on a certain mile radius or what? My best bet would be getting invited to Normal, but I’m guessing I’m out of the “range”.

My guess is the radius is dependent on the number of pre order holders in the area. Normal may have a larger radius than San Francisco.

Rivian is putting charging networks to service remote locations for their adventure vehicles, so lets get some test drives near those sites. If nothing else, they could just make sure all the deposit holders don't need to travel more than 100-150 miles to see the products.

I am within miles from Brooklyn service center, and have a fairly early R1s, but no invite. They will do trucks first. LE R1s res holder

I chatted with customer service today and they said the events would be for BOTH R1T and R1S LAUNCH EDITION reservation holders.
I was curious because only doing R1T holders would make sense. I switched from T to S a while back.
I saw earlier post in this thread that said R1T was getting priority…. So there is some conflicting info there.

From my understanding, they were always going to support R1T and R1S pre-order holders, as well as the general public. They will, however, prioritize R1T pre-order holders above others.
