Sad that this basically confirms no grocery bag hooks in frunk.

I miss the hooks, too, but if If Rivian doesn’t sell something as an easily-installed accessory then I’m sure the aftermarket will come to the rescue.

With a backing plate to reinforce the plastic (or similar) frunk liner you could probably use hardware of your choice from a home improvement store or use something generic like this

Was this already known? This is news to me personally, and a great feature.
News to me, as well.

We've seen pictures referencing 2WD, but there was speculation that may have been the software supporting the Amazon vans, or for potential expansion to less expensive models, in the future... However, it seems the AWD vehicles will be able to toggle between the configs -- nice.

I wonder what the efficiency difference is between AWD and RWD? And which mode will EPA estimates be made in?

I'm curious if this is accurate based on no ability to flat tow. I did see the conserve drive mode, I wonder if they may have misunderstood that one. Certainly will be curious to have that confirmed.

2011 Acura MDX - R1S Preorder
Cramped rear seat room was the only major red flag for me. The complicated UI/UX doesnt bother me as it can be fixed fairly easily OTA and I am pretty quick with interfaces...
I am also not worried about the center console UI/UX as even Tesla has revised theirs over time. I preordered the R1S, so I doubt that the space issues in the back seats will be my concern.
Glad that they are revising the rear seats prior to launch (hah - I missed that typo).

I eagerly await the reviews for the R1S

Sure looks like gear tunnel access from the back seat! :)

Woohoo! This was my one big speculation on the R1T finally confirmed.

No reason not to do this with an electric truck. We are essentially getting a software transfer box.

I also would speculate this probably means two of the motors will be pure AC induction motors
