Wow never thought about recovery points. I figured they had them somewhere to attach.

I'm going to be honest I think with the people buying these there will be a lot of them stuck in places where they are not prepared such as this with full pressure tires thinking that the software will just figure it out.

Ummm, no recovery hooks? Hey Elon, all REAL trucks have recovery hooks these days. So if you have to do a front recovery, you wrap a kinetic strap around the control arm (one of which is stamped), launch and hope for the best????

Meanwhile, Elon is bragging that a CT towing a 911 can beat a 911 in a drag race. Yeah, Elon because everyone knows the 911 is the premier drag race car at tracks across the US on a Saturday night. Another PT Barnum exhibit. Fair's fair, let's see the CT run the Nurburgring against the 911.

I actually think it would be funnier if it doesn't sink, but just drifts away listlessly with no power. Then people can chart it as it navigates ocean currets like the roadster transiting the solar system.

That would be hilarious... maybe they could offer a "Sail Kit" with a tiller handle for "unlimited duration" voyages not requiring power (excepting maybe for occasional use of the "Cyber-Bilge Pump").

It's kind of scary actually when you float 800volts on salt water.. one leak and kaboom!

No, there was never a full story. He just kept repeating that he "couldn't" say anything else because Rivian was "investigating". Apparently that self imposed restriction allowed him to post a thread about it, but not answer any questions.

can it serve briefly as a boat? absolutely not. By almost any definition boats can steer and move under their own power. Can it serve briefly as a raft or barge? Absolutely!

That might actually help to explain the design aesthetic.
