Bring on the snow. Just installed MICHELIN X-ICE SNOW SUV on 20" Ram 2363 wheels on my R1S.

WHY:
Currently have the 21" Pirelli Scorpion AS tires and wanted a less expensive and snow tire option for occasional local snow and ski trips.

WHAT:
$200 Wheels: Ram 2363s bought on FB MP. Skipped the powder coat since the wheels are in decent shape, and I'm fine with the silver on silver.
$1,047.96 Tires: Michelin X-Ice Snow 275/60R20 115T. Bought on Tirerack and shipped to a local mechanic. They are in limited supply.
$328.88: TPMS sensors: Ordered and tried to use RDE232V26 - BH SENS OE Direct-Fit 433MHz OE Quality TPMS Sensor for Rivian ($128.88). They were too long for the Ram rims, and went with a set from the mechanic ($200) -ouch. Recommend the TPMS Ram Rims for $107 and deal with the programming (cost me $75).
TPNS programming: $75 for the sensors I bought from the mechanic. I'm outside the Amazon return window for the TPMS that didn't fit the 2363 wheels.
$15 Hub centric rings
$24.99 Center Caps
$152 Mount and Balance
$34.53 Environmental and shop supplies and tax
$1803.33 Total

HOW:
Read @Riviot extremely informative Affordable Winter Wheels Setup: Ram 2363 and other posts.

Thanks to @Riviot for his post which originally gave me the idea and the details.

LESSONS LEARNED:
Parts: Picked the wrong TPMS sensors which cost me extra for the TPMS sensors I had to buy from the mechanic, their programming, and the too long sensors I originally bought.
Mechanic: Offered to use my pucks, but he would have had to switch lifts and said lifting from under the suspension was safe. Showed him the online Rivian guide since I didn't think so, but trusted his experience and liability.

Looks great!
I have the same setup with your first attempted TPMS waiting for pickup tomorrow.
TPMS purchased Nov 15, return eligible until Jan 31st. So if you want to get crazy I can return them for you and venmo you. That said, what made them too long, personal taste or actual function? First I've heard of an issue with those and can't find photos of them installed on the RAMs.

For anyone going with the Smart Sensor Pro+ TPMS, I have the programmer and am happy to ship it. It's super easy to use and like $20 shipping total with USPS.

I, too, have a "long" TPMS on my second 2363 build. I'll post pics in a little bit, gotta burn off all the cookie dough snacking first!

The
RDE232V26 - BH SENS OE Direct-Fit 433MHz OE Quality TPMS Sensor for Rivian were definitely too long and couldn't be tightened. They probs work great for a Rivian wheel, but the Ram 2363s were pretty thin. Didn't believe it until the mechanic showed me.
I'll PM you. Thanks.

Are you sure RDE232V26 is too long for ram 2363 wheel? I had same config but bought X-Ice from Costco. Costco guy helped me to mount tires and sensors onto the wheels, and didn't complain anything about its length. The RDE232V26 sensors were bought from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09W81D636?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details.

Relatively. The mechanic showed it to me and that the bolt was too long to get it tight on the wheel. Should have taken a pic of it. Didn’t think of trying it in my garage prior.

Glad Costco worked for you, they rejected my/any 3rd party purchased sensors.
The Costco guy mentioned Costco would not install sensors not bought from Costco. Maybe I gave up tire warranty so the guy didn't mind to install the sensors or I was lucky enough that they didn't have Rivian sensors at that moment.

My downfall was probably telling them in was for a Ram so they knew they had sensors that would work. Darn. $120 and the roadside warranty wasted for me.

Highly recommend the X-Ice to others as well! Rides like butter compared to the 22's.
@CardiacR1S how is the ride vs your 21's?

For those that want a more OEM look for the wheel and confidence in the load rating and/or don't want hubcentric rings (both of which have been stated as concerns by others, not an expert or saying there is an actual issue, but wanted to point it out.), I was a bit under $2800 for the MSW wheels, TPMS and X-Ice from Tirerack.

I just put on cooper snawclaw 20”. My sanity is back. The factory AT scorpions are some of the worst tires ive ever had. They are horrible in snow. (Not fresh they are ok) but mixed ice and packed snow maybe the worst ive ever had. And the noise. The constant droning and vibration from this tire is unbearable. Why rivian sticks with this tire? I was starting to dislike the riv. Feels like a premium vehicle now.

When you get several hundred miles on the X-ice tires will you please post what your average range is compared to the original 21" Scorpions. I'm not thrilled with the snow performance of the WildPeaks on my Dodge wheels and would consider selling them to replace with Ice-X tires if the range is as good or better than the WildPeaks.

I'd be surprised if they were sub 2 mi/kWh. Park City, it makes sense to get actual snow tires. I can't justify them in our "warm" temps.
