Years ago my mom called her broker to finally purchase a BRK.A share she had always wanted and finally decided to buy (when it was roughly the cost of an R1 quad) and the response was "how many would you like?"

I do think the Cybertruck release is actually going to be good for Rivian stock, started seeing CNBC talk more about truck EVs and first time seeing them point out R1T is the best selling EV truck = more awareness as Rivian quietly does it's thing

CT also overpromised/underdelivered, and the concept is cool on your internet browser, but see the truck in person and you realize just how far OUT and niche the truck is, maybe fun for a day but not something most will want to drive daily

I'm not trying to engage in that kind of thing. Didn't mean to slag Tesla. I'm just genuinely curious about what happened in the last week, and particularly on Wednesday, 12/6. I get that RIVN stock has fallen in the last year. But it has also come back 30% in the last month, which is a big rise. Most of that happened on Wednesday. There was a cryptic battery announcement as part of a larger interview, but that didn't seem definitive enough to lead to major increases. I'm not aware of anything else that would drive such a rise. The CT reception is something, but I can't understand why that would primarily take affect on Tuesday. Was there an institutional investor that got in big?

Thanks. I'd looked at the minimal rise of Teasla stock and thought it wasn't across the board. Maybe they just had a comparatively bad day.
