Maybe? I left mine unplugged for around 36 hours over the weekend and saw around 1.5 kWh. I had previously seen almost 1.5 kWh per day, so it might be down to 1 kWh per day now while at home with GG off at home.
The vast majority of people can't even tell the difference between 128 kbps and 320 kbps let alone lossless. In the online test/quiz NPR had at one point I could tell the difference between the lossless/WAV and the various compression schemes with good headphones, but they showed in their results the majority couldn't. If you/others think they can actually hear a difference, more power to them. The highest quality on Spotify sounds fine to me and is still worlds better than Bluetooth audio or the shite quality of Sirius XM from a satellite vs streaming.
The bitrate of Blutooth audio ranges from 256 kbps to well over 1 mbps depending on codec.
This, plus to really enjoy and realize the benefits of lossless or HD audio you need an amazing system with complete quiet. With the Rivian you get neither of those things so it really doesn’t matter. I can’t tell the difference between Tidal HD or Bluetooth in the vehicle when driving, mayyyybe at stop there is a subtle difference, but that could also be me ‘trying’ to hear a difference because I know it’s higher bit rate. Before anyone takes this as me hating on the audio system, it’s not that.. it’s just, if anyone is grasping for bit rate audio and it’s that important for them, they should be sitting in something that’s supremely quiet like a Rolls, which could possibly fulfill the promise of HD audio/FLAC/SACD. (My take).

100% with you on USB-sourced audio. The streaming stuff blows. However, the option to view videos scares me. People already demonstrate a glaring inability multitask when driving (texting, scrolling though whatever) without holding traffic up or killing others. I can only imagine how bad it'd get if everyone was watching "Ancient Aliens - Season 3" at the stop light, or even worse, while driving. Yeah yeah, I get it, you're a total ace at doing multiple things simultaneously - I'm talking about the guy next to you, ok?

Ah ok, that makes sense. In my defense, I grew up being told to "just look out the window" whenever I complained about being bored, so all this is new to me.
