I was having issues with mine, and finally figured out I was holding the button down too long. One short press and then a few second delay before working.

Once, Not sure how long it needs to be down but anything from ~100 ms to 500 ms has been fine. It takes a moment to actually start moving the door, but I don't think the timing is any longer than it was from the display.

I was struggling with it, similarly to some others. Don't hold it down very long. Press and release. Then wait. There was always a lag with the old method as well. Seems to be the same lag between the R1 catching that I want to open the door and the door starting to move. That was causing me to hit the button more than once, which I think was confusing the opener.

Agree with everyone. Hit the button once and wait a few seconds. It will work.

Has been working well for me, a quick press and release is all I needed. Agree, there could be a 2-5 sec delay sometimes, but it has always worked for the past 10 or so times I've used it. I typically park outside the garage and enter house through front door, but now the garage is so much more convenient, so I"m really loving this feature!

Same! lol I was like dang it, this feature only worked right for a few days. Realized you don’t need to click it and hold. It’s just a quick press and the garage door opens.

I have to move some cabinets before I can get the truck in the garage this winter -- so I park outside for the time being. Over the weekend, I noticed that when leaving and you want to close the door, the truck needs to be in gear. The menu on the drivers display doesn't appear until moving from park to reverse (in my instance).

It's not related to putting truck into gear. The garage switch wakes from you pressing the brake pedal.
