If you're fiscally conservative, you are a centrist in the current US political climate. I think the majority of people calling themselves republicans probably aren't really paying attention to how far the people that claim to represent them have traveled rightwards in the last several years.

I can say the same thing about the left. Most people who consider themselves leftists are social liberals and they haven't seen how far the radical left has drifted. That's the thing about extremists, and it's the problem with throwing around terms like Nazi to talk about fairly benign or not necessarily malicious behavior like rolling coal.

That's why the political needs to be kept out of these discussions.

Although Maryland is a very blue state, I live in one of the red rural counties. I was pleasantly surprised at all the compliments and smiles I got when parked at a Tractor Supply Co with my R1T.

Bubba who worked at the tire shop where I road force-balanced the tires asked if it was “electronic” then retorted he didn’t like it.
