I noticed when I put my order in (very late) on January 6th, 2023 that the delivery timeline for the R1T was "Late 2023". Later in the month, and all through February, the timeline shifted to "Early 2024".

I just checked the reservation system again this morning and it MOVED UP to "Fall 2023" now. I think that's a good sign that production is going well!

Based on the last 18 months of deliveries, your delivery date is basically the result of a RNG.

I wouldn't put any faith in what the website says for predicting a single reservation window.

Or bad news that reservations are cancelling... but yes, as above - I wouldn't put any stock in it at this point. Still too early in their history and too many moving targets.

Just making general observations on what I’m seeing - someone clearly changed that date for a reason. But not putting any stock in what that means for my delivery time frame. ☺

A lot of negativity on the forums. My last window was pretty accurate, actually was contacted early and took delivery 1/26 on a Feb/March window.

Agreed! My whole reason for posting was that clearly someone at Rivian knows something that we don’t and the timeline getting moved back up is a good thing!

Gotta share the good news when we see it!

I think it's called pessimism based on past performance. :p

You should see the sad state of affairs on the Hummer forums right now. ?

2 months of ZERO produced at Factory Zero and on month #4 of total stop-sale.

But! We are receiving lots of communication now. Two updates in two months that my order is now delayed until "LATE 2024"!

The negativity here pails in comparison and to those who complain here, I SCOFF at them! ha! At least Rivian is actually making vehicles and there's more than 1,000 on the road and not a stop sale, etc!

I’m not surprised they CAN move up your date, but the bigger news to me is they updated it before their previously stated dates when they update all the windows. Either way, congrats on getting some good news!

There might be some confusion here - it's just the reservation page, not anything at all related to my specific order/date. Just an observation that if you were to make a "new reservation" last month, it said "early 2024", but if you were to make a "new reservation" right now - it says "fall 2023" - I hope that makes sense!
