This is a weird post but when I am driving my new Rivian and for a few minutes after I get out it feels like pressure in my head like when you are in an airplane. Does anybody else get this?

I take it you didn't drive to a higher elevation at a quick rate of speed?

I didn't think Rivian was doing any sort of active noise cancellation in the cabin, but if they were that could explain it. If you've ever put on a pair of Bose NC headphones what you describe is that feeling.

Only thing I ever got was a headache for ~30 mins after driving the first few weeks I owned it because I wasn't used to the instant torque and power. After a couple weeks I got used to it and it's addicting.

I also had a similar issue for the first few days driving my Mach-E from all the torque and heavy regen.

Yeah. I had that experience when driving over the Santa Cruz mountains while recovering from Covid. Never had it before driving the R1T over the same path.

Someone mentioned it could be the torque so that seems likely. When i switched upgraded to a taller car i felt a hint of motion sickness while driving it but eventually got used to it.

I’ve read that electric vehicles can cause higher rates of motion sickness due to fast acceleration and lack of mechanical noise.
