Weren't these original prices prior to dealer markups? EM decided he will replace dealers completely and hiked the prices.

Most owners don't :) Sorry, yes it's a Volt though I don't see how that's better.
It's a backup car for when we have to take something to service. I drive the Polestar and my wife takes the Volt. Regularly avoid using gas with it. We put less than 1500 miles on it last year. Right now, a family friend is borrowing it. She's never driven an EV before and I think she's becoming a convert. It's one of the reasons I kept it, so I'm glad we were finally able to help someone out.

I did have a Bolt. Bought it in early 2018 before Tesla was shipping the less expensive Model 3s. It worked out great for me and the Model 3 would have been a compromise. Not having a hatchback really limits the usefulness of a trunk. I also didn't care for the lack of a driver's display, and I hope it's something that Tesla reconsiders for the production Cybertruck(not that it really matters to me).

This is a trap. My experience with Tesla has been a complete mess. The cars are unreliable and Tesla service is terrible. You couldn't give me another Model X if you paid me.

My Model 3 is a unicorn… over 4 years and the only service appointments were for a 12V battery replacement and cabin air filters. That’s why I’m holding on to it for a while longer (even though it’s out of warranty) until my R1T is ready. I hope the Rivian holds up nearly as well.

I did have a 2014 model S before that, and it definitely had more problems, there’s just inherently more that can go wrong with the S and X. Those door handles were a pain in the a&%.

I actually think Musk is a pretty cool guy, wish more public figures would actually just straight up say what they mean and put their money where their mouth is. If nothing else it’s entertaining and refreshing.
Totally agree. Plus he is for free speech which is a foundational cornerstone of my country. All the people who are against free speech should just move to China. His purchase of Twitter is a good thing in my book. He’s exposed how politically biased and anti free speech that company used to be. Downright anti American.

With that said Elon is basically today’s PT Barnum when it comes to Tesla so I would be wary of buying a vehicle from a huckster.

I'm a serious car guy who has owned a lot of cars. I still have a sizable collection. Our Model Y is one of the best cars I have ever owned. It just passed 100k miles (it is a family favorite, it Is usually the 1st car picked) with nothing ever done to it except tires.

Remarkable.

I just checked the value for the XC40 recharge that we traded in on my wife’s Y in December. It is worth ~$15k less than what Tesla gave us in December (honored the trade in offer from November). So at the end of the day, we came out ahead quite a bit buying at the end of December over now. So after that news, I’m no longer annoyed. ?

I love my Model Y. It’s one of the best engineered cars I’ve ever driven. Could suspension be softer and range be a little bit higher? Absolutely. However, for $50s to even mid $60s, I don’t think there’s a car that beats it. For a $45k cost basis, no brainer. Literally was on SlickDeals front page. Add to cart now, think later ?

Ummmm.. Rivian vehicles are much more reliable right? And their Service Centers are awesome too?

Hopefully people won't be spouting that kind of nonsense about Rivian s00n too, because honestly Rivian is not off to a stellar start including many non-forced errors.

Yeah lol. I have both, and if he has heartburn with Tesla for those issues, wait until he is driving a Rivian!!

I have both, love them both, but Rivian is still really rough and getting up to speed on the whole reliability/service thing.

These prices did not change.
Could have sworn several things in Enhanced used to be included or much less additional cost. So to get a car with decent driver assist, you have to pay $6k and lose the tax credit then...

We ordered up our brand new 2021 Model for $48,990 plus $2k for the 20" alloy wheels. It's now showing over 31k miles and has been bulletproof since new. It has only required cabin air filters and a new set of tires.

The vehicle software is the best in the business and updates are frequent. We absolutely love the super reliable Tesla Supercharging network. Pull up, plug in and walk away. No CC's, PIN numbers, memberships to join, etc. Once you experience it you are spoiled.

^ yeah... sounds very unreliable... just like our almost 2 yo Model 3 that's never been in the SC either.

Some people are just really pissed at Tesla right now, some for good reason as their recent purchases just got devalued by almost $13K (+ additional $7,500 Fed tax credit) overnight. In some cases resulting in upside down loans and soon to happen crashing used Tesla values.
Regardless, you can't just start calling their vehicles "unreliable" and their service "terrible".
