Did my test drive this afternoon. You guys were right.

Saw all the colors but red and yellow. Took a family vote and limestone won 4-0. Changed our configuration right afterwards.

We have now included the powered tonneau cover in our configuration. The delivery address is now specified as the Factory in Normal. I have written an email to Rivian Customer Service asking why we don't have a guide with an order date of 11/28/18, and why we have not received an invitation to the R1 Shop.

If we accomplish anything, we will let everyone know.

Keep us in the loop Brian!! Fingers crossed. Just throwing this out there, but maybe find the closest apartment address for rent to the factory? It’s hilarious what you did, but a local address maybe a little less on the nose?

Thank you for the input on the delivery address. The Factory delivery address that I came up with is from another thread here on the Forums. That member wanted to take Factory delivery of his truck. His Guide told him to use that address for delivery.

I plan to attend the Rivian Community Appreciation event in Uptown Normal tomorrow. If I can find someone knowledgeable, I'll ask about ...
1) Shop access for the earliest Explore people?
2) R1S Shop coming s00n?
3) Are new delivery estimates REALLY coming this summer?

I did not get credible answers to any of those questions.

I did attend the event. It was a nice event for the community to see Rivian vehicles. Rivian also used the event to recruit manpower for their upcoming 2nd shift.

I found a pair of employees and asked a couple questions. They were sadly uninformed/misinformed about issues important to early preorder holders. It was pointless to continue asking questions that these employees obviously could not answer. I left the event disappointed ... and more frustrated than ever with Rivian's poor communications.

The RC/OC would be a killer combo, and very tempting if I was still waiting on a truck. Don't know if I could convince myself that the light option would be good with kids (and myself) though.

yeah, i was Limestone/BM for the longest time. but then i saw it in person and it was too light for me. i also had a chance to see RC in person and it blew me away. finding out OC was going to use the darker wood sold me to go with the RC/OC combo.

never had a red car before and thought it would attract too much attention but i liked RC so much and Rivians will attract attention regardless of color so pulled the trigger on it.

i am worried about the lighter color getting dirtier more quickly but never had vegan leather and from what i hear it holds up well.
