Wow...I don't know how you guys are getting pricing of $600-ish. I'm in Minnesota and getting prices of about $1000.

Just got quoted here in Atlanta $1000 + $35/wheel for remount/balance.

I did the same thing last week and love the look of the truck now. Tried putting aftermarket wheels and tires on but they rubbed. I figure in a year or 2 the aftermarket guys will start building some wheels to fit the Rivian odd ball offset and lug pattern. I just didn’t love any of the factory options and really didn‘t want to go up to the 22’s. I was able to get some black center caps from the service center

It was in for service and mentioned what I wanted to do to my service advisor and when they brought my truck back it had black center caps on it. I think he was making up for the service call, which wasn’t that bad.

I'm not big on black wheels, but these and the pictures of the Red Canyon trucks with the dark wheels make me think I might have to do this.

Also nice to see the factory center caps for the 21s. Will be grabbing them when they are available.

Yes I went with satin black. Show less dirt and like the OP said hides scratches better.

I went to the Venice Hub today to look at the R1S. Pulled up out front and had a bunch of the Rivian employees immediately surround my truck and ask about the wheels. They all said they look great and this is how the 21's should be delivered.

The 21" wheels definitely look significantly better without the aero covers and accents. I agree that satin black looks great with most colors, but I'd personally go gunmetal with RB, FG, EC, and maybe RC. I might try and do a plastidip coat of gunmetal on mine at first to see how it looks with the intent of powder coating later.

I want to go a dark bronze with mine, but I'm not brave enough....

Did order a couple Cerakote swatches though to see them in person (blacks and bronzes). Have a friend that does the Cerakote and is itching to get his hands on my truck/wheels.

Correction...kindof.

I DID get that quote ($285/wheel w/ remount and balance)....

...but...

I thought my existing shop just painted....but in fact they (only) powdercoat. I guess I should have known this given that I've had a set of tesla wheels done there before (21" Gray Turbines refinished) and just picked up another set of Tesla wheels today (19" Silver Slipstreams refinished to Turbine Gray).

They are $150/wheel powdercoat with remount and balance (and any reasonable bend, etc repair). Overnight service and they have done a great job for me both times.

Not sure if it's kosher to 'advertise' here so won't, but happy to refer for anyone in ATL / North Atlanta looking to have wheel work done. They are in Norcross.
