Title, license plate (transfer or new) and registration

Seems a bit of a shitshow with the third party vendor they are using.

Any idea what vendor this is? I asked about talking to that "team" directly and got the run around. There must be a clause about missing the 90 day window and penalties in the contract.

If need be, temp tags are easy to get. I just got a 45 day tag with a copy of my registration application and a ??‍ "they suck at their job, I'm going to do it myself." They said extending is easy too, just come in M-F 8-4 so they can call the state.

I received my plates and registration directly from the State of Illinois yesterday. It was only about 6 weeks after taking delivery of the truck. I guess with the factory in Illinois, they don't need to use a 3rd party. I'm still waiting on the title.

If need be, temp tags are easy to get. I just got a 45 day tag with a copy of my registration application and a ??‍ "they suck at their job, I'm going to do it myself." They said extending is easy too, just come in M-F 8-4 so they can call the state.

Tags & registration were Monday (posted already iIRC). Title just showed today. GA

Did you start with an Illinois temp tag too? I wonder if they do it for everyone or just those states they can't do direct sales.

A delay due to learning is acceptable if they have options to mitigate. Telling me I'm S.O.L. if my tag expires and no ETA on permanent registration is not.

Yeah - everyone should have temp IL unless there are law changes to allow for direct sales in other states.

they should also provide additional temp tags vs SOL - though that likely won’t mitigate state penalties. Mine showed on registration and were paid by Rivian - again, expect them to continue to learn from this and improve - saves them money as well.

FWIW, the lady helping me said WA State Department of Licensing doesn't have Rivian as an option for Make /Manufacturer. They had to override and call it "other" and input it, hence my "Rivia" temp tag.

Florida has a whole packet for military residents stationed out of state to register at home, including a ton of exemption forms.

How’d you get a copy of the title application? I need it for my bank.

My credit union said the same thing but ultimately took the purchase agreement since it showed them as lienholder. They do want copies after I get them at delivery though.
