$115k + commission

C&B commission of 4.5% will max out on this one at $4500.

I think the top end is close. There are at least 3 Rivians on eBay at $130-150k, and there’s a local one to me for sale at $115k on Craigslist. I don’t dispute there aren’t people willing to pay over $115k for one, but it seems like the supply is meeting, or even exceeding, demand.
I think some people are just throwing a high price out there just to see if they get it. They may want to keep the truck, but wouldn't say no to a high enough price. What something is for sale for and what someone is willing to pay can be two different things.

Selling to a private party at $115 is still better than $130 at auction... You don't have to pay the auction fees/ commission. So works out the same or better in the in the end.
The buyer pays the premium at the auction. So if the cars&bids goes for $130k, seller gets $130k.

Plus the buyer's premium is capped at $4500.

Hmmm ?. Wonder how my first edition EV6 would do on cars and bids. It has to be better than the constant stream of Nigerian scammers on Auto Trader.

I think this market puts Pre-March holders in a interesting, totally 1st world…no complaints kind of spot.

Do you keep this great truck you have been waiting 2+ plus years for, or part ways with it $40k extra cash in your pocket.

As supply rises to meet demand, Sophie’s choice won’t have to be made, but clearly some people are making their choices, can’t blame them either way.

just wish I would of made 2 orders. 1 to keep, 1 to sell.

Either you're mistaken or your numbers are off. Selling at $130,000 at auction is way better than $115,000. Even with the fees.

I mean, I'm on record saying I hate flipping cars but I'm also not turning down $40k cash to wait another 12-16 months. It's just a car, $40k is a huge step to an education for a kid or several awesome vacations. If people want the car but can't turn down $40k profit, I totally understand it and have no problem with it.

Also to add to the above, Cars & Bids and BAT give 100% of the auction # to the seller. The buyer pays the commission.

Curious to see what this R1T ends at. Serious bidders will wait as long as possible to avoid driving the price up.

I'm not selling my R1T. Of course I'm probably biased because I'm able to put my Hummer EV up on auction... Rivian is the better vehicle, but the Hummer is still awesome. I just don't need two trucks, and the Rivian fits what I want an every-day vehicle for. Could sell the R1T too, but then I'd have zero trucks.

I personally find it very interesting that when the prices were hiked on 3/1, a massive number of people on the forum thought the truck was now too expensive or not worth it and cancelled orders. (and yes I recognize some people cancelled not because of cost, but because of broken trust - my line of thinking doesn't apply to all).

However, as many have pointed out, NOT selling is similar in economic impact to paying increased prices (even if it isn't emotionally the same thing). Meaning, if I can make a 30k profit by selling the car, I am in essence choosing to pay that to keep it.

IMO, if you were unwilling to pay the high prices because you thought the car wasn't worth the new prices, then the logical choice would be to sell for an even larger profit. And it definitely doesn't make sense to get upset with people who choose the selling route.

BaT wasnt interested in listing my R1T, inquired why but no reply. Didnt make a lot of sense would have thought it would have been a good listing draw for them especially considering what the Hummer went for.

Do you have the car currently and did you ask for a reserve on it?

Let's see how much it shoots up in the last "minute". ?

130k+ and going up.

Funny watching people wait as long as possible. It resets the clock either way, you can't "sneak in" a bid. lol.

$138k final.
