Can any of the recent deliveries comment on how much you are paying for insurance? I just got a quote for $3,500 from my insurance company...seems crazy high, but perhaps Rivian's are more costly to insure?

It was only $20 more a month for me through Progressive when replacing a 2021 4Runner. This is on a straight auto policy, no HOI or anything. Does your quote include your homeowner's insurance, etc?

Edit: this is a quote without a VIN, just make/model.

My quote was with homeowners, but I also have 2 teenage boys as drivers on my policy, and very high coverage.

My quote from state farm was 87 a month. 10 year safe driver, Multi-Line discount with home owners, and a 250/500/250 coverage limits. Its 30 more than I pay on my Envoy! I thought that was a pretty darn good quote.. I will say it was just a quote, and until officially underwritten, its just that.

Agreed. I’m not putting those stickers directly on my truck. No way.

Plenty of people driving Teslas get fined… Ticket is minimum $490 in CA. Not worth the risk for me. If you are worried about sticker goo when you eventually remove it there are solutions for that.

I know you asked for dimensions.. Although I dont have any, I can offer a comparison..
I dont think you are getting any full size coolers in there..

My son is 40 inchs tall, and there was a few inchs of room left over.

Dimensions of that 37 quart ARB unit are about 30 x 19 x 17 inches -- pretty similar to your typical cooler.

Nov 26, 2018 pre-order date. R1T is ready for delivery this week if/when I complete the process. Still negotiating with local dealers on my trade in. Super disappointed with Rivian lowball offer which is 7-12K less than other offers I've received for my trade.

FWIW, Rivian insurance quote was higher than my current bundled insurance (2 vehicles, homeowners, motorcycle, umbrella).

Not seeing the big savings on insurance or good trade-in value that others have reported. Of course I'm only a single data point but worth noting for y'all.

I'm curious what you're trading because our offer was quite generous. It probably varies regionally and depends a lot on what their wholesaler needs to fill in their inventory, but I'm surprised at how different our experiences were.

I agree. Details matter. Ironically, I needed to replace a 21 year old pickup truck in 2018, but realized after a couple of years that the Rivian would be a bit later to market than originally expected. What to do?
As a bridge to the R1T, I purchased a very capable/comparable Ford Raptor. Yes ICE. But really nice.
Expected a reasonable trade and ready to go, but for some reason received an offer that is substantially lower than every online and local trade offered. What? Why?
Not sure why but I have my suspensions. My hope is that this is an outlier.

But as you've pointed out, it is surprising and worth noting.
