@OutofSpecKyle thanks for asking. From another thread, can you measure the turning radius? Also can you show some 3 point turns, U turns and parking in a tight parking lot?

If we are doing that, the J-Turn Test
I’m not sure Chad would be cool with Kyle doing this stuff with his R1T. ?

I'm not sure if there is value or not, this is more of a personal question about EV, but as the owner of a '12 Yukon Denali XL, it would be interesting to compare the R1 and another large SUV (probably not truck since they tend to have heavy leafs) going up I70 from 470 to Floyd Hill. The Yukon has to constantly downshift to keep up (6.2L) and is just an annoyance. Doing a keep-up type of test together would be interesting for me.

Also what the roll is like in the R1 going up that stretch, how does the suspension handle the turns. The Yukon tends to roll a lot. :)

There's def some videos with that already, R1T towing the chevy truck and outpacing a truck that's not even towing anything. EV are monsters for uphill/towing but definitely affects range.

How about some off-roading in the snow. Put that quad motor to work!

Hands off for a very short period, 30 sec or so. Then it prompts you to put your hands on the wheel. It's capacitive sensors, so you just have to touch it is all.
Just curious - how did you determine it was capacitive?

would like to see the various driver assist features and how well they work. would like to know how the two different screens work and what options you have to customize it and what is or isn't displayable.

TFL did it already...lots of slippy slidy stuff because of the weight. If snow wheeling is your thing, I'd wager you'd want chains. And I don't know if Rivian has said anything about being able to use chains safely.

I'm a little surprised cables aren't even advised for the 20s. Also means fitting any tires bigger than the 34" ATs is likely not going to be possible. Guess that's one more reason to plan for real winter tires at some point if I wind up going into the mountains more often during winter.
