So iPhone now has shortcuts available. I don’t know how long this has been there. I expect more functionality in the future. But I made an icon shortcut to open the front trunk from my Home Screen.

I always open the front trunk while walking up to the trunk if I want to put things in. This makes things easier

The addition of Shortcuts was in the release notes of the latest app update on 10/30.

I also add my shortcuts to my Apple Watch. Select the details of the shortcut you created on your iPhone/iPad and select the “i” at the bottom. Then enable “Show on Apple Watch”.

Having shortcuts is cool but if you’re still pushing the button on the phone seems like you’re not fully harnessing the power of “Siri open the frunk” for the hands free experience and that seems much more useful

You can totally use "Hey Siri" to launch shortcuts. Try "Hey Siri. Lock doors." and the shortcut will run. I just tested it.

Does this mean that if I have an Apple Watch with cellular, I could theoretically leave my phone at home and effectively use my watch as a key? That would be WaaK ...

I added this to the Rivian App 2.4.0 update thread, so I'll share here too

I've setup my shortcuts to open/close or unlock/lock rather than have a shortcut for each action. This way when I run the shortcut it will prompt a menu where I then choose the action. I prefer this way because it adds a safeguard for those times where I accidentally press a shortcut and run it.

I've got the unlock/lock shortcut on my action buttons for my watch and phone

I added the notifications and vibration after the action is completed.
Figured I'd share the shortcuts I have setup. Anyone with an iPhone should be able to add this via these links.

Not for driving
You would need your phone, fob, card, or proximity bracelet to actually move the vehicle

And if you are really into shortcuts on your iOS Home Screen, you can add photos to the shortcuts to help with identification…
Have you gotten the frunk one to work with voice though? I tried that initially and it just translated Frunk as Frank...and it didn't know how to Open Frank. :p

Got it - still, a worthwhile addition all the same.
