Apparently the holes in the 2 passenger doors are ordered options as there is no secondary damage listed….

Primary Damage Front end
Secondary Damage None

They probably had to cut into the doors to access the physical locks because there was no power to them after the crash

From what I can tell, the damage isnt that bad. The frame horns are still straight, doors still function, screens still light up.

I would bet that the only reason that it got totaled out, part availability.

A buddy of mine had a 2021 Jeep Gladiator. He swerved to miss someone driving down the wrong side of the road.. He hit a curb and messed up his axle. No air bag deployment, no frame work, just a fender, paint, and axle. Totaled out. FCA told the insurance company it would likely by 12-18 months before they could get an axle.

Edit: The holes in the doors make sense if you arent familiar with the jump point locations. 12v was probably dead, and they could not figure it out.. so lets get out the angle grinder!... Idiots.

That pictures makes me cry and I haven't even gotten mine yet. I mean, yes I know Rivian isn't immune to accidents, but DAMN, so sad to see it like that.
