I'll be working, but hopefully someone will inquire about the Driver+ disabling due to overhead tolls (basically cameras). If Rivian knows about the issue and is working on a way where customers can report them to have them fixed so they don't disable Driver+.

-brief preview of dashcam UI
-one of Wassym's favorite new features is being able to name vehcicles
-brief preview of video entertainment working
-Wassym prefers the Elevation speakers to the Merdian speakers
-vampire drain optimization constantly being worked on
-Wassym's favorite easter egg is halloween mode

Honestly, these are the MOST HONEST and helpful questions answered by Rivian in a very, very long time and I greatly appreciate it. The CarPlay question was also addressed.

Excited for text integration. Glad to see they are highly focused on vampire drain. Excited for better voice assistant. And I'm totally fine not having CarPlay as long as they give me a great replacement solution. And Easter Eggs...give me more!

No, we'll keep hearing about it.

Because no matter how good first-party infotainment is, Apple/Google can update CarPlay/Android Auto to add new apps faster. And it means that if the vehicle maker ever starts charging money for traffic updates/live routing/map updates, CarPlay/AA can get them through apps through the phone's data plan†. (BMW charged an annual fee for live traffic/routing. Tesla charges a monthly fee for "Premium Data" unless you're grandfathered into an unlimited data vehicle, etc.)

And then there's the "consistent experience" aspect.

†I'm sure this is the actual reason Rivian doesn't want to do it - they want to be able to charge money for data usage, so need compelling reasons to have people pay for it. For example, Ford charges money for various data-using features. I don't bother, because my Ford has CarPlay/AA. But my Ford still has a cellular plan, because remote vehicle access is included. So Ford still has to pay for the cellular data, even if I'm not paying them for the add-ons.
