Amazon Rivian Van - Feedback From a Driver

I ran into a Rivian Van driver while running errands.

Driver mentioned he loves the van specifically the AC compared to old trucks that had no AC.

He said the range of 130 miles is not good enough and the little Fan vent that’s suppose to cool down the storage area sucks. He wished it was an AC and or they had bigger battery so he could keep running the AC and keep it cool.

Overall he loves it and said it makes his life more comfortable.

if only Bezos was willing to pay more for bigger batteries, drivers lives would be even better

Time to buy more $RIVN shares.

I just saw my first one yesterday while it made a delivery at my business. Unfortunately I was on the phone and could only see it on the security camera. By the time I got off the phone and literally ran up the hallway he was gone. I was hoping to ask him the same questions you did. My staff of 20 somethings could not understand why I was so excited about it?

I'm glad they at least have AC up front now. Can't believe that is even a question these days...

I saw that too, If I recall that source said they were just using the same large pack from the R1 and reducing the overall range.

Obviously with LFP they probably will go to the standard pack.

I fully agree. Cramming all of the technician service tools into an R1T was a joke.

Funny I saw my first one 6 months ago in our neighborhood, the driver hated it.

Amazon dictated the range/battery size to Rivian, so that's their doing. I saw that UPS drivers pointed to the new Rivian Amazon vans when arguing for AC in their vehicles as part of their contract negotiations.
