Rivian crushed by tree in California storm

Saw this on the NBC nightly news and managed to track down the Saratoga county (California) Twitter account where it was originally posted. Looks like the latest storm dropped a tree on a yellow R1T

More like a good paint or wrap guy. Assuming they get a new replacement I think a respray or wrap are the only ways they’ll get another yellow one.

That's very sad. Limited number of yellow, one gone. RIP.

That's what you get for picking a flashy and discontinued color? It's like washing your car in view of pigeons and crows? Insurance can claim "act of God", right? That is the real shitty part.

Remember when Rivian was going to offer a retractable roof for the R1T?

This sucks. The storm isn’t even as bad as it was supposed to have been, and is nothing compared to the storms that took out the monster cypress at my house last January. Massive bummer for the owner, hope everyone is ok.

There are a few yellow ones in the shop. Hope he gets one.

That should buff right out, let me call my guy Biff....

My understanding, from a neighbor who lost his car to a fallen tree, is that full coverage covers tree damage. Furthermore, tree owner is not responsible for the damage.

That roof glass is really fragile!

But seriously though.. sucks to see that happen to a rare discontinued color.
