So I just took my 2023 R1T in for the 7,500 mile service, currently at 9k due to scheduling and here are some details.

Service Location: Costa Mesa Service Center

Service Type: Express service. This is something new they are offering where you wait, and the work is done in less than 1 hr.

Brake Pad Status: Fronts at 10mm backs at 9mm. Looking really good. was using the blended regen have since disabled to maintain more pad life. Service center confirmed this is the best way to ensure no break usage unless you press the pedal. I asked for cost on replacement ad to do the service for replacement no discount $2k per axel for pads and rotors. They also confirmed rotors cant be refinished. At this rate brakes will need to be replaced at 100k miles.

Tires: 7/32 all around on the 21". I do rotations at 5k miles. I was informed they are seeing tire replacement on all models at 16-20k miles. If this is the case, I will be switching to 20" Type 52 rims and tires on my 3rd rotation at 15k miles. Let's see how this turns out. I am on pace to do 18k miles a year.

Suspension: Perfect condition no issues. I asked about replacement cost on the air shock, and they showed me a quote with no discount of $1k in parts and 1.5H in labor. $1500 for out of warranty replacement. This is really good news!.

Overall: Very good, excellent experience at the CMSC. I am not so happy about the tire news but at least we have options to go to 20". Also had a recall on the mobile charge unit where they replaced some parts.

Glad it was an easy visit! I had this done in February in Denver and while it took longer than an hour, it was no problem to wait.

That is great news on the air shock replacement cost!

Could you describe this setting? Where I set regenerative braking the choices are Standard and Strong (or similar). I did not know there was a blended option, and I want to turn it off wherever that is.

I'm waiting for the first DIY air shock replacement review!!
You and me both! With the cost so low to have them do it I won’t be going down the DIY path.

$4k to replace all the brake pads and rotors? Isn’t that crazy high?
Thats what I thought also when they mentioned that. He did say at first $1k but said that was with goodwill and regular cost is $2k per axel. The good news is I won't need replacements if it keeps at this pace till 110k miles or so. Thats even If I have the truck by then.

Normally $160 with tire rotation. Removed the rotation and was $100.

it can be done morally and you do need to make an appointment but I recommend taking to a service center. Call the support number and ask for express service. They will do it while you wait in 1hr or less.
