2023.42.1 seems to have reduced the time to acknowledge the phone by 80% or so. Phone now quickly unlocks the truck. Great improvement although I hope it's not transitory.

Have others had success with PaaK being much more responsive?

Yep, Think it was one of the bigger update associated with this update. That and BT syncing was improved as well I think

There is nothing worse than standing n the rain waiting for your PAAK to unlock the dadgum truck.

can't wait to update if this is the case.. For the past 2 months, every other time I walk up to my R1S, I stand there and eventually have to pull out the phone to manually unlock. So frustrating, especially since it worked flawlessly for months before
Same here. Half the time I have to take my phone out of my back pocket and it unlocks without touching anything on the phone. And don’t all me lead bottom. RE. McHales Navy.

Need more data, but this seems to have come at the cost of the truck going to sleep. The truck gets parked very close to my office and judging by ElectraFi data, it's constantly waking up during the work day where it wasn't before.

This wouldn’t surprise me because I noticed today that my truck acknowledges my presence (taillight flash when it first detects me phone) much further away than I’ve noticed before.

With that said, I haven’t had any issues at home with my attached garage. I’m just happy to have the improvements because I was having a lot of trouble after upgrading to the newest iPhone.

So are you thinking this means vampire drain will be increased again? It’s gotten better for me over time, but it’s still 1-2% per day

Rivian is just going to push the meter back and forth until they get the least complaints.

Out of curiosity, how did you quantify the 80%?

Just went out for the first time since doing the update. PaaK is hugely improved IMO. Rivian needs to stop right there. It’s pretty much perfect at this point.
