Sadly, people sometimes seem unable to carefully read even the simplest of emails. The email literally said it would reflect the pre-March 1 pricing next week.
”2nd quarter” translated to Rivian-speak is no sooner than June 30th at 11:59pm +/- a few seconds.Next week and second quarter are not mutually exclusive. Friday in particular is next week, 2nd quarter and April Fools, what could go wrong?
CS was slammed today. I don't understand why this email prompted a very large number of people to contact them. Seemed totally innocuous to me.Sadly, people sometimes seem unable to carefully read even the simplest of emails.
1. Many of those people will complain to CS.
2. CS will complain to Tony.
3. Tony will think twice before sending out another update and decide not to.
4. Preorder holders will complain about not getting updates.
5. Tony’s manager will make him send out another email.
6. Preorder holders won’t bother carefully reading the email.
7. Go to to step #1 above.
Just received my email from "Tony" also that my configuration page would be updated to pre-March pricing next week.Did anyone else get this email?
Wow, I ordered 1 year before you and my window is April - May 2022. Lucky you . . .
Tomorrow's email will probably be announcing a delay of last week's email since not everyone's pricing has been fixed yet. Also don't think any cancelations have been restored.Tomorrow is Friday! Hope we get that weekly email!
Cancelations weren't mentioned in the last email . . . .Tomorrow's email will probably be announcing a delay of last week's email since not everyone's pricing has been fixed yet. Also don't think any cancelations have been restored.
As one of the lucky ones to receive an email this week telling me that my configuration pre March 1 had been restored, did say this at the bottom of the email message about cancelations:Cancelations weren't mentioned in the last email . . . .
True. I could have been clearer: they didn't say they were going to be restored in the email. As one of the lucky ones to receive an email this week telling me that my configuration pre March 1 had been restored, did say this at the bottom of the email message about cancelations:
* If you canceled and are waiting for your preorder to be restored, your Rivian Account Page update will take a little longer. Please sit tight. We’ll let you know as soon as your page accurately reflects your previous pricing.
Fwiw css has confirmed that cancellations will be restored this week.True. I could have been clearer: they didn't say they were going to be restored in the email.
This was only for owners...I got mine on Thurs. Did y’all not get this?
Looks like another Friday came and went without an update from Tony. . Did one of you do something to hurt Tony's feelings? If so, it's time to fess up and apologize. The implication is that we’ll be getting regular updates on Fridays? Won’t hold my breath - and I hope they’re more than website updates- but that’s encouraging.
